Midstad Karlsruhe
After the dismantling of Karlsruhe's existing building, a new 7-storey mixed-use building is being built here in the centre of the city with a direct view of Karlsruhe Palace. The Midstad Haus is in a central location, optimally connected to public transport. Retail, office, co-working and dining combine to form a multifunctional ensemble. A communal terrace in the inner courtyard offers all tenants a green oasis for relaxing lunch breaks or company events. Thanks to its various uses, Midstad Karlsruhe will become a city centre attraction for a wide range of user groups. It also has a bicycle-friendly car park concept: more than 150 sheltered bicycle parking spaces and e-charging stations for e-bikes are available. In terms of sustainability, the goal is to achieve DGNB certification (gold) for the existing building and DGNB (platinum) for the new building. The building will be technologically fit for the future once it obtains Wired Score certification; pre-certification has already been obtained and platinum certification is being sought.
