Midstad announces the start of a co-operative tender process for the redesign of Zeil 71–75—the Weltstadthaus property, which is being let to Peek & Cloppenburg* B.V. & Co. KG, Düsseldorf. The aim is to transform the building into a multi-use property that integrates shopping, leisure, work, gastronomy, entertainment, sports, culture, commercial flats, education and the realisation of a dual-stream primary school. Midstad Frankfurt is intended to create a lively mix of uses that will ensure the dynamic revitalisation of the property and the surrounding neighbourhood throughout the day. Peek & Cloppenburg* B.V. & Co. KG, Düsseldorf, will remain a retail anchor tenant even after the property has been remodelled.

Midstad was able to attract renowned architectural firms, such as holger meyer architektur, HPP Architekten GmbH, kadawittfeldarchitektur, MEIXNER SCHLÜTER WENDT, RPBW Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Schmidt Plöcker Architekten and schneider+schumacher, for the competition. These renowned offices will submit their creative ideas to realise the vision of Midstad Frankfurt. On 11 June 2024, the architects' designs will be evaluated by a selected jury of experts.

* There are two independent Peek & Cloppenburg companies with headquarters in Düsseldorf and Hamburg. This information relates to Peek & Cloppenburg B.V. & Co. KG, Düsseldorf, whose building locations can be found at www.peek-cloppenburg.de/stores.
